Born in Kabul/Afghanistan in 1970, where my father was a teacher at Nedjat.
Grew up in Germany, lived in England for two years (Salisbury, Crew), studied languages and literature in Göttingen and Freiburg.
I now work as a senior editor in a small publishing house in Cologne, sometimes I do literary translations.
Photography, especially street photography, for me is the easiest way of being creative. No setting, no make-up, no studio. Just travelling light. I also like documentary, travel and portraiture.
»Open your eyes and your soul. And out comes a flow of concentration and awareness. Some kind of meditation on the beauty and singularity of the world and the people around you.«
I love the mountains, motorcycling, paragliding and karate.
